Juvederm - Juvéderm Fillers
Approved in 2006 by the FDA, Juvederm®️ refers to a family of hyaluronic acid-based injectable dermal fillers. Juvederm fillers work by delivering hyaluronic acid to regions of the face that are deficient in the same. Hyaluronic acid is a crucial compound that maintains adequate levels of moisture and nutrients in the skin.
As your skin ages, it may not produce sufficient hyaluronic acid, which results in loss of elasticity and suppleness, and consequently, saggy cheeks and wrinkles. Juvederm fillers are highly effective in the correction of moderate to severe wrinkles and skin folds, with the results lasting up to a year or more.
If you’re interested in a non-invasive and non-surgical way of overcoming the effects of aging on your skin, Juvederm fillers should be top on your list. Labelle MD Esthetics is a leading medical spa that provides Juvederm fillers in Vienna, VA. Contact Labelle MD Esthetics today to book a consultation with Dr. Lorena Popp.

What to Expect
Our doctor near you will start by assessing you to determine if you’re well-suited for Juvederm treatment. In particular, our doctor will ask about your medical history, including any ongoing health concerns and allergies that may interfere with treatment. If you’re a suitable candidate for Juvederm fillers, our doctor will give you instructions on how to prepare for treatment. Juvederm doesn’t require any special preparation. However, our doctor might ask you to forego certain NSAIDs and alcohol in the weeks leading up to the treatment, as continued intake of the same might cause excessive bruising.
On the day of treatment, our doctor starts by mapping the injection sites. Next, the doctor carefully injects Juvederm fillers into the target areas, which may be your lips, the areas around your mouth, or the cheeks.
Juvederm fillers contain pain-reducing lidocaine, which relieves any pain and discomfort that you may feel during treatment. A treatment session lasts 15 minutes to an hour, depending on the size of the treatment area. Afterward, you’ll be free to go home and resume your normal activities.
